Did you see this? Another BBC prove the Bible using science type program, this time on Noah's Ark.
The thing is that when you consider that God is something more that we can possibly imagine, it seems daft to try and "prove" the Bible using our limited knowledge. Look I know we know a lot and we do wonders with science, but look how we laugh at some 100 year old "theories" now. Will we not do the same in a 100 years time?
A quote from Andrew Kenny from last weeks Spectator "For her [his mother], science was science and religion was religion, the two occupying different realms.
The vast majority of religious people on Earth agree with her — quite rightly. Science explains, and does nothing else. Religion inspires, comforts and guides but cannot and should not try to explain the natural world. Indeed, I should say that it is impious for it to do so"
The program though wasn't too bad.

This isn't really a Christian related story, but then that's not the point of this Blog. What is the point? To just show that being a Christian doesn't make you into some weird Bible bashing loon, anyway I digress. This is a great article about why we shouldn't just outsource our jobs abroad because they're cheaper.
And to note, I have nothing against capitalism, globalisation or big business. This article sums up why it's bad news in a rational way.

We've retired Raj! He hadn't done an interview in a while, so he had to go. We've also retired the Weekly Readings, this is to allow us to start work on the NEW readings section that will replace Daily Readings!
This will be a KJV and NIV readings section that will take you through the Bible in ONE year!!
For now Daily Readings stay as they are, but Weekly Readings have ceased from today. eta for "Do the Bible in a Year" April 2004.
If you want to comment on this idea then let us know.

Worst Ref ever! Just leaving Old Trafford after the most awful refereeing display I have ever seen. A disgrace!

Churches give away Gibson tickets: "Russ Hughes, director of worship and prophecy at St Luke's, told The Times: 'Gay bishops being thrown out of the church is not the sort of publicity we need.
'Hopefully this will put the emphasis back on Christ.' "

Well, well a competitor in the market! No, not entirely but their ideas come from a similar view, that of aiming at "[people] who are not able, or do not wish, to be participant members of a local congregation."
Obviously resurrected aims at those that are able and do wish to, but the internet more easily hits the former that a "traditional" Church can.
