There were a couple of good articles in the Spectator magazine this week. One on Darwinism v Creationism, which I found interesting. From my point of view I believe God created the world but have trouble accepting the exact 7 days bit in Genesis, however I have some belief in what Darwin put forward. There is room for both as the article points out, they just need to stop not believing in each other!
The other article was on "that issue", but I particularly liked the quote "Its spiritual life, in which the greater part of its strength resides, is dismissed as entirely un-newsworthy...........The Church is instead treated by the media as a political story, with a battle for control reported to be raging between ‘conservatives’ and ‘liberals’". Exactly!

I mentioned this previously but didn't give a link. A poll conducted by BBC's Heaven & Earth program that indicates amongst other things that more people can name the Koran as a Muslims sacred book than can name either Matthew, Mark, Luke or John as a gospel!

Well the clocks went back!
Why do we still bother? With young kids its a nightmare as the day just starts an hour earlier.
I miss my extra hour in bed :-(

I'm sure if you've been watching the news you've had enough of this story. but why of why didn't someone have the guts to force BA to let Branson keep them flying?
The planes have 10-15 years left in them, they are a flagship for the UK (and that's after 30 years as well!) and BA got them for nothing too! If you feel the same there is an internet petition here.

It's been a few days and I've missed commenting on a fair bit! There was of course the "Anglican thing" that's been in the news for days.
Then there was the vicar who resigned because of too much media attention following a fly on the wall documentary (I missed the program!).
I also wanted to mention how boring the C4 TV program "Conversations with Rowan Williams" were.
But it's all old news now, so there you go.

I thought long and hard about posting this link, but then I thought "No backing away from this is not the right thing". It's the so called Evil Bible. If you have doubts about your faith or don't like "anti-Christian" views then please don't click, I just can't believe the bitterness (or point)!

I was going to post some stats that MORI have collated on faith in the UK, but then trawling the newsgroups I found these links :Army of God - Islam hate, Army of God - Gay hate and Army of God - Pro Life (warning if you're squeamish don't click the last link). Just goes to prove that Christianity is not immune from nut jobs!
