This is a blog about me, my Christian faith, my family and my life in general. Things that make me laugh, stuff I like or things that annoy me.
I'm a 30-something Christian (Anglican), a family man with a beautiful wife and 3 kids and heavily into gadgets, heavy metal music and sport!
There's other stuff like Daily Bible Readings - follow the links.

Following on
I mentioned yesterday about the blog and direction. Well after a bit of prayer and thought I'm at the point of thinking about closing the blog down. I feel my energies will be better placed elsewhere (like out local Church's website for example). I'm still going to keep the domain, but I'm going to simplify it to just the daily Bible Readings for web and mobile phone/PDA. I feel this is the right thing to do at this point. Any comments appreciated. Labels: resurrected.co.uk

Off the air temporarily
Small hiccup with our ISP this week meant the blog was off-line for a few days. But it's back, my question to everyone (as well as myself) is what direction do I want this blog to take? It really doesn't have a common theme, it's just me typing random posts. Anyway I intend to think and pray about this, in the meantime did I mention it's back? Labels: resurrected.co.uk

Redundancy
Atheist bus ad in Leeds
I saw my first "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life." bus ad yesterday on the side of a First bus in Leeds centre. Looks like they're appearing in London too from today. As it says in the Christian Today article, these really are a "great way to get people thinking about God". When I saw the ad yesterday, I thought about the ads would end up doing exactly the opposite of what was intended. By using the word "probably", people would miss the end of the tag line and think "what happens if he does exist?". Which I guess is Theos' point in the article on CT. There really does seem to be a general feeling about at the moment that people are on the lookout for something else to bring a point to their lives. Tomorrow I start a course with our Youth Group to look at how our Church can help in this search. Labels: current affairs, my faith, youth group

Bible Readings
I know, I know! It's my old forgetful brain. The daily Bible Readings on the site are now back up again for 2009. I you weren't aware or are new to the blog, I provide a reading each day. Just so you can follow the Bible in a year on my site (very useful if you've an internet enabled phone as you can read it on the move using the mobile formatted site).
